As a writer and editor, I frequently get asked how I got into the business. I’ll be honest, it’s not because I get a thrill from stringing words together or fixing grammar and spelling mistakes.

It’s because I love solving business problems and helping people and companies reach their goals with persuasive messages.

It’s because I thrive on creating stories about interesting people, places, organizations, and trends.

And since you’ve found this page on my website and read this far down on the page, I’m willing to bet I can do the same for you.

Sure, I got my start as a reporter for my hometown newspaper and eventually became the editor of several national publications. (If you want more of the nitty-gritty details, please check out my LinkedIn profile.)

But what’s truly important is what happened next.

When I pulled the corporate ripcord to become a freelance writer and editor and launch Boomvang Creative Group, it opened my world to far more engaging adventures. Copywriting for print ads, video scripts, and radio spots. Creating websites. Writing white papers. Crafting feature stories. Ghostwriting and editing books. In the process, I’ve been engaged by every type of client from boutique graphic design firms and consumer and trade publications to Fortune 500 companies…and everything in between.

The coolest thing? After 17 years, I still get excited about what comes next, and there’s nothing better than helping clients like you communicate with maximum impact. When you’re ready to brainstorm and create your next project, give me a call, shoot me an email, or reach me through the contact form.
